  Micro units have staying power as a housing type, according to research from ULI. The units, which are typically larger than a one-car garage, but smaller than a double, appeal to urban dwellers in high-cost markets who are willing to trade space for improved affordability and proximity to downtown neighborhoods. Tonight a third party company unveiled their assessment of Mount Pleasant’s growth management plan. A big issue in Mount Pleasant is how big it’s becoming, and over the last year there have been packed town council meetings just to address the issue. Growth management debate heats up again in Mount Pleasant

Mt. Pleasant to hear results of study on Growth Management Plan

Results of an independent study of Mount Pleasant’s proposed growth management plan will be unveiled Thursday. The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce said it has commissioned the Urban Land Institute South Carolina to offer “an unbiased and honest assessment” of the plan.
