Urban Innovation Grant Winners

SAN FRANCISCO (October 6, 2015) – Fourteen grants totaling $219,000 have been awarded to Urban Land Institute (ULI) district and national councils through ULI’s Urban Innovation Grant program. Only district and national councils are eligible to apply for the grants, which range from $5,000 to $25,000. The recipients were announced today at ULI’s Fall Meeting at the Moscone Center. Funding for the grant program comes from the ULI Foundation Annual Fund, supported by individual contributions from ULI’s global membership. 2015 Fall Meeting Recap – Videos

By all accounts the 2015 Fall Meeting was a tremendous success. With close to 7,000 attendees this was one of the most well-attended and funded Fall Meetings in ULI history. One of the overarching themes was how technology and innovation are disrupting the real estate market. While San Franciscans are on the forefront of early adoption, it is only a matter of time until South Carolinians start taking Uber to work, use RelayRides for weekend getaways and convert our garage into an Airbnb.
