ULI SC Upstate Hosts Coffee & Conversation with SCDOT

ULI SC Upstate welcomed Mike Sullivan, SCDOT Statewide Planning Chief on the morning of March 21, for the first event in a new series on transportation issues. Event Recap – Mass Timber & The Future of Development

Continuing on the success of the event held in Greenville last fall, ULI hosted a second event on Mass Timber in Charleston on March 13. Developers, architects and others learned more about the opportunities to use mass timber, in particular cross-laminated timber (CLT) in the construction of multi-story buildings. Development Tour Recap – The Grand on Main

On February 27, Midlands members and friends gathered at The Grand on Main to hear about the renovation of this historic property. Located on one of the most active blocks in Columbia, The Grand is a boutique bowling alley and restaurant, housed in the Robinson Building, which was formerly the Army/Navy store, and at one point a Vaudeville theater.
