Join us in Charleston on October 18 for a panel discussion on the West Ashley Revitalization Plan’s progress.

The panel will include members of West Ashley Revitalization Committee (WARC), City of Charleston officials, and developers investing in the West Ashley Area. Come hear more about what’s next in the revitalization of West Ashley and the Citadel Mall. We’ll wrap up the evening with a networking happy hour at Tattooed Moose.

Amy Riley – Moderator – Thomas & Hutton and WARC

Amy Riley is the Director of Business Development for Thomas & Hutton, a privately-held professional services firm providing engineering, surveying, planning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and consulting services to public and private clients. Ms. Riley is responsible for business development and marketing for the firm’s nine offices in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. She assists the firm by strengthening and creating relationships with strategic partners including architects, contractors, developers, economic development professionals, engineers, and utilities. Keith Benjamin – City of Charleston

Keith Benjamin, by nomination from Mayor John Tecklenburg, and the unanimous vote by City Council was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Traffic and Transportation for the city of Charleston, South Carolina in April of 2017. In his position he oversees all transportation maintenance, planning and partnerships at the local, county and state level. He previously served in the Office of Policy Development, Strategic Planning and Performance as well as led the Office of Public Liaison at the US Department of Transportation. Harry Lesesne – Charleston Parks Conservancy

Harry Lesesne has been the Executive Director of the Charleston Parks Conservancy since 2012. Prior to joining the Conservancy, he served more than eight years as Senior Advisor to Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. where he was responsible for advising the mayor on all aspects of city government. It was in that position that his passion for creating great parks and public spaces in Charleston blossomed. Click here to read more.

Graduated: Savannah College of Art and Design with Professional Master of Architecture; Graduated University of South Florida with Master of Urban and Community Design.

Worked: Florida Center for Community Design and Research – Senior Urban Designer, Berkley County Government-Planner, Town of Mount Pleasant- Senior Planner, City of Charleston- West Ashley Project Coordinator

Mikell Harper – Gramling Brothers

Mikell has over ten years experience in residential and commercial real estate development and extensive legal expertise in government affairs and real estate. Mikell graduated from the United States Military Academy and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a licensed attorney and real estate broker and handles business development for the company.

Please enter the mall through the Southeast Entrance (by Tattooed Moose and Planet Fitness), make a right at the end of the hallway and the suite will be down on your right.
