Revitalizing West Greenville through Brownfields Redevelopment Recap

On Tuesday, May 15, ULI South Carolina and Cardno hosted a discussion about brownfields redevelopment and its role in the revitalization of the West End and the Village of West Greenville. This under-served area has seen a huge revitalization over the past decade, thanks in large part to the EPA’s Brownfields Program. Cardno Brownfields professionals and City of Greenville staff walked us through the process of taking a contaminated site through redevelopment. They discussed key project examples, and we heard firsthand from Robbin Phillips who moved her company, Brains on Fire, to the Village of West Greenville through the redevelopment of a brownfields site!
