The 2025 Class ULI South Carolina’s Real Estate Diversity Initiative graduated on April 1 in North Charleston.

The twelve-week intensive culminated in the talented group of 16 emerging developers presenting their team’s vision and plan for the Reynolds Station case study site at 3446 Rivers Avenue to a “dolphin tank” of judges. The program was facilitated by F.A. Johnson, II Esquire, Chief Executive Officer, Charleston Redevelopment Corporation | Palmetto Community Land Trust.

The program would not be possible without the time and expertise of many volunteers, including team mentors and speakers.

The ULI South Carolina Real Estate Diversity Initiative program (REDI) allows emerging developers to expand their skills and knowledge needed to create a successful real estate development.

Participants learn what it takes to put together a successful development through a combination of curriculum and case study work. Throughout the course, teams produce a development plan, pro-forma, and marketing plan for a specific site. Participants engage in both large group and small group mentoring sessions.
