Coastal members and guests gathered the morning of March 21 for the second installment of the Development 360 series. The conversation on financing was led by Ken Grimes of Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group and Thomas Wagoner of Middle Street Partners. Ken and Thomas walked the group through key terms when talking about real estate capital, shared examples of the types of capital structure, before sharing a case study on Foundry Point, finishing off with Q&A. The presentation can be found here.
Many thanks to our host sponsor, Clemson Design Center.
The Development 360 Series is an initiative of ULI South Carolina Coastal Young Leaders Group. It is a six-session program designed to provide emerging leaders with a comprehensive overview of the real estate development process—from pre-development and entitlements, to architecture, planning, construction and disposition.
The series is held on the 3rd Thursday of each odd-numbered month, from 8:30am – 9:30am at the Clemson Design Center Charleston, located on the 2nd floor of the Cigar Factory, 701 East Bay Street, Charleston, SC 29403.
The third installment will take place Thursday, May 16, 2019. Gary Collins of Seamon Whiteside and Ross Deaver from Summit Engineering will share their perspective on site design, testing and environment aspects of the development process.
Although hosted by our Young Leaders, these events are open to all.
