The Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) is an intensive cohort experience open exclusively to professionals of color working in real estate and land use industries.
Are you REDI? The ULI South Carolina Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) helps emerging developers expand their skills and knowledge needed to create a successful real estate development.
Participants learn what it takes to put together a successful development through a combination of curriculum and case study work. Throughout the course, teams will produce a development plan, pro-forma, and marketing plan for a specific site. Participants will engage in both large group and small group mentoring sessions.
REDI 2023 sessions will take place in Greenville, and are planned to meet weekly for 3 hours for 12 weeks starting January 10, 2023, with additional time outside of class for textbook readings and group project work.
REDI has a competitive application process which is open now through October 14. The ideal participant will have, at a minimum, knowledge or interest in real estate, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to engage in real estate development. Applicants will demonstrate sufficient career experience to do well in the program, a strong commitment and desire to participate in the program, and supportive reference. A panel consisting of representatives from ULI South Carolina will select individuals for the class kicking off in January 2023.
