About the ULI South Carolina Capital Markets Conference
The ULI South Carolina Capital Markets Conference is an annual gathering of high-level real estate industry executives. Now in its 15th year, the conference has grown into an annual tradition for many members of the southeastern capital markets community.
The conference will take place at West Beach Conference Center on Kiawah Island, SC. The conference begins with a networking lunch at 11:00AM on November 15, and includes an opening reception at 5:30PM that evening on the Grand Lawn at The Sanctuary. The conference wraps up at noon on Thursday, November 16.
We are excited to announce that Ahmed El Nokali, Head of Capital Markets at First National Bank, will once again join us for the opening session. In his role, Ahmed is responsible for overseeing FNB's syndication teams as well as leading the interest rate management group which provides high-end financial services consultation for institutional clients and prospects to develop interest rate hedging solutions tailored to their unique organizational needs. Ahmed will check in on how things have played out since we were last together, where the economy is headed, and the potential implications for real estate in the Carolinas.
Additionally, ULI South Carolina is thrilled to welcome
Jodie W. McLean for the Fireside Chat.
Jodie W. McLean is Chief Executive Officer of EDENS, one of the nation's leading private owners, operators and developers of retail real estate. With a tenure of more than 25 years, she has been a key player in EDENS' growth and expansion to its current marketplace leadership, capitalized by blue chip investors and assets valued at $6.5 billion.
McLean is responsible for EDENS' strategy to move the portfolio to major urban centers and first-ring suburbs, creating a portfolio of assets that are the center of community life.
