When the City of Charleston undertook a $12 million drainage project to relieve the Huger King intersection of frequent flooding issues, their engineers came to SGA|NW for Architecture and Landscape Architecture for the project. Realizing the impact this infrastructure project could have both on the urban fabric and the community, this quickly became an urban design project, not just a drainage project.
