Congratulations to Taylor Schenker (pictured above, fourth from the right), for receiving the ULI YLG Award. As part of the award, Taylor received a one-year ULI Young Leader membership. Ms. Schenker was among the inaugural class of the Master of Resilient Urban Design graduating on August 5.
Taylor will be working with Surculus, a landscape architecture and design firm that focuses on resilient design. Surculus’ Erin Stevens, an active ULI member, currently teaches a design studio within Clemson University’s Master of Resilient Urban Design Program.
The Master of Resilient Urban Design (MRUD) degree addresses design and development thinking about how to steward change in rapidly growing metropolitan regions. This program is founded on an issues-based, teamwork model wherein students engage issues/questions based on a design-thinking foundation and enhanced with methodologies and processes from multiple disciplines.
