Lawson Still Promoted to Charleston Market Leader at CBI
Congratulations to Lawson Still, who was recently promoted to Charleston Market Leader at CBI Workplace Solutions.
Lawson has been with CBI for 3 years, leading business development efforts, now overseeing the management of the Charleston location while leading business development and client engagement and workplace consulting. Lawson adds a wealth of knowledge in navigating the Charleston office market and ensuring that CBI clients’ vision comes to life to satisfy their workplace culture and function.
An active member of ULI, Lawson is currently ULI South Carolina’s Coastal Program Chair.
Melvin Williams Joins Terracon as Senior Client Development Manager
Melvin Williams, F.SAME, FACEC, has joined consulting engineering firm Terracon as part of their Charleston office to lead local and state client relationships, while also serving as project executive for large and complex projects.
Williams joins Terracon with more than 30 years of experience in engineering. He has been elected to serve in leadership roles for many local, state, regional, and national boards and committees, including serving as vice chair for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), an organization that represents more than 600,000 employees. He also serves in the ACEC 2021 National College of Fellows. Involved in the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Melvin was elected to the National SAME 2021 Academy of Fellows.
At the local level, he was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors for the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments, a regional agency which serves a three-county area in South Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering technology from South Carolina State College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering from The Citadel Military College.
A long-time member of ULI, Melvin recently served as Committee Chair for ULI SC’s inaugural golf tournament and currently serves on the Coastal Executive Committee and Coastal Program Committee.
Kerby Teller Announces New Firm, Crescent Lighting Solutions
Kerby Teller recently resigned from CBI as the Market Executive of SC and FL to focus full-time on a company he co-founded in 2020. His new company, Crescent Lighting Solutions is a national commer cial lighting distribution company that focuses on industrial, multifamily, office, education, and healthcare projects. CLS has partnerships directly with Asian and domestic manufacturers that allow their clients to procure higher quality products than their budgets would normally allow.
Kerby served as the Statewide ULI YLG Chair for South Carolina for the past 3 years and is an active member of ULI.
